Badminton School

Musical Instrument Donation Scheme

Music at Badminton has always played a fundamental part of the creative and educational life of the School.

Our Musical Instrument Donation Scheme offers a chance for instruments to be gifted to the School to benefit our future generations of musicians.

Many of our younger pupils or beginners do not have their own instruments and instead borrow or hire from the School. Often pupils ‘try out’ an instrument before parents make the significant investment in purchasing their own instrument, but sometimes more advanced pupils also use and hire School instruments, where cost is a prohibitive factor.

We would welcome donations of almost all instruments which are in good condition. We kindly ask that donated instruments are in working order, although we can make minor repairs such as new strings or pads. If we are not able to use the instrument ourselves, perhaps because we have enough already, we will either look to pass the donation on to another school (through our links with the Bristol Educational Partnership) or to sell it and use the money to purchase other musical equipment.

Perhaps you were once a keen trumpeter or clarinettist. Maybe you have upgraded to a higher quality violin but your first one still sits on a shelf. We would be delighted to hear from you. We would be delighted to accept any musical gifts such as Guitars, Saxophones and orchestral instruments such as the Cello, Clarinet, Double Bass, Flute, Oboe, Viola and Violin.

If you are able to support the Musical Donation Scheme, we would be delighted to hear from you. We ask that all donated instruments are kindly delivered to our School Office along with a completed ‘Musical Instrument Donation Scheme Form’, available by request from Mrs Brown at the address below:
