In the Summer Term, when our entire School community was learning remotely, there were many opportunities to engage with co-curricular Art activities at Badminton.
Some girls chose to participate in the weekly Creative Conversation debates for Year 9 and Year 10, others opted for the BadmINKton daily drawing challenge and as we neared the very end of term, many submitted entries to the CUT PASTE POST collage competition.
CUT PASTE POST encouraged individuals to create a collage on the theme ‘MAKES ME HAPPY’. Collage is a very immediate and expressive medium and artform with which to communicate our thoughts and ideas. Some participants sent photographs of their collages digitally, others physically put them in the post to the School! The submissions ranged massively in subject matter and winners were selected from different age categories.
Congratulations to all 40 girls who entered. It was wonderful to receive so many different and creative responses to the theme. The winners were announced on Badminton Celebration Day via the online showcase pages.
Well done to Sophie, Unique, Stang and Claire for their winning entries in the different age categories!
