Badminton School Prep is a wonderful, happy school that sits on the main Badminton School campus in Bristol. The admissions process starts with what we can offer your daughter.
It is important that Badminton is the right fit for your daughter. We want her to be happy and to thrive both academically and socially. We believe that when a girl is happy then she really will achieve her full potential.
Girls are welcome to join Badminton School Prep at any stage or point throughout the year. We do recommend you register your child at the earliest opportunity so we can ensure that we have a place available. Our admissions team will guide you through the joining process to ensure that your daughter is warmly welcomed.
Assessments can happen at any point in the year providing we have a space and, for the Prep school, are arranged to suit you and your family.
For our prospective pre-reception and reception girls, our EYFS lead will visit the girls in their nursery setting. This visit will encompass observing the girls in their environment, how they interact with their peers, and meet with their key worker to discuss their learning style.
For entry into Year 1 or Year 2, your daughter will join us for a taster day. As part of that day we will hear her read, ask her to write something, and watch how she engages with the teacher and the learning environment at Badminton School Prep.
For Years 3 to 6, girls join us for a taster day and, as part of that day sit an online reasoning test and write a short English assessment. Overseas applicants should contact the Admissions team to discuss options.

Come and experience an hour in our Reception class by joining our next Stay & Play session!
Led by our brilliant Early Years Staff there will be art and crafts activities for your daughter to get involved in, as well as lots of toys and learning resources for her to explore and play with. The sessions are informal and a great opportunity to get to know the Prep School and to ask questions about the start of your daughter’s educational journey.
