The quality of links with parents is excellent

         ISI Report 2015

Parents are such an important part of life at Badminton, and we encourage parents to contact us at any time. Our Parent Portal gives access to contact details for all staff, as well as to information about key dates and news about the School.

One the many benefits of being a small School are that we know each and every girl individually and as such, there is a constant flow of communication between staff, parents and pupils. Throughout the year we have formal reporting points including half termly grade reports and termly full reports that are sent to parents and arrange meetings for the parents of each year group to discuss girls’ progress.

However, parents will commonly hear from members of staff more informally throughout the year with stories of their daughter’s success and if any concerns arise.

We also invite parents to seminars on topics from e-safety and GCSE/A Level choices to Higher Education. For those parents who are unable to attend scheduled parents’ meetings, Pastoral Heads are happy to co-ordinate meetings and visits on an individual basis.

‘Involved’ is the association of Junior and Senior School parents at Badminton. The group welcomes new parents to the Badminton community and works with the School to enrich the girls’ experience here. We provide a forum for parents to share experiences and expertise with each other and with the School. The ‘Involved’ Steering Group meets termly to plan and organise events for parents including social occasions, including wine tasting, barbeques and the spectacular annual Summer Ball.

‘Involved’ parents help with everything from community events to the Careers Fair. They take part in Summer and Christmas community events, the biennial Careers Fair, the biennial Opportunities Fair and the Badminton Boardroom scheme. One of our main purposes is to raise money for charity and for School enrichment projects, and recently we have funded picnic benches, a giant chess set, bicycles for Boarders and specialist music chairs.
