Bartlett House is set at the very heart of the School and offers a warm, welcoming home for our youngest Boarders in Years 4 - 8 (ages 8 - 12).
Our cosy dorm rooms accommodate either three or four girls. Bartlett has its own living rooms where the girls can relax. Living areas are fully equipped with games, books, a DVD library, a Nintendo Switch, and art and crafts supplies.
There is a dedicated music room for practice, a quiet room for reading or reflection, an arts and crafts room, and a kitchenette where the girls can prepare snacks.
In addition to their own devices, the girls have access to three in-house computers, which they can use for Prep or games.
We understand that both girls and parents may feel daunted by the idea of boarding at this stage. That’s why we encourage girls to try a taster night – an opportunity to experience the unique blend of freedom and support that life in Bartlett offers.
Bartlett’s Housemistress, Deputy Housemistress and two Graduate Boarding Assistants all live in the House and are experts in recognising and responding to the girls’ needs. Together, they provide dedicated care in a nurturing, family-style environment.
Weekends at Bartlett are relaxing, fun-filled and full of activities to help the girls unwind after a busy school week. It is a chance for us to come together as a Bartlett family.
We make full use of our school facilities, including the sports hall, gym, swimming pool and music block. In-house activities include craft afternoons, baking, silent discos, Nintendo Switch games, board games, movie nights, cultural-themed activities, and sleepovers in the common room.
We have a variety of off-site activities too which range from, trips to Cribbs Causeway, visits to London and Bath, tree top adventures, theme parks, laser tag, beach trips and meals out. There is something for everyone at the weekend.
Younger girls are always escorted whenever they leave the School grounds, but the Year 8 girls enjoy a little more independence and can take the short walk, in
