Badminton School

Badminton has three terms in each academic year: Autumn, Spring and Summer. The fees shown below are per term.

You may notice that the fees listed here for Day Girls are slightly higher than those listed at other Bristol day schools for girls. This is for two reasons: firstly, our very small class sizes and intensive provision of additional academic support means that we spend more on teaching than many other schools. Secondly, our fee includes lunch, text books and normal curricular outings and visits, which many other schools charge as extras.

Included in Total School Fees

For Day Girls, the compulsory pastoral care* fee includes lunch, break time snacks and tea. Badminton School also offers genuine ‘wrap-around-care’ and parents can take advantage of before and after school care, including homework supervision with qualified staff, for all girls from 7.45am until 6.45pm in the Senior School and until 5.45pm in the Junior School, on school days at no additional charge.

For Boarders, full board meals.

For all girls, core text books, art materials, food and nutrition materials, and most day to day curricular trips and most extra-curricular clubs.

Included in Total School Fees for International Boarders

The International Boarding fee, which applies to all girls who are normally resident outside the European Union, includes the cost of escorted travel to and from selected airports and railway stations at the start and end of each term and half term, provided that journeys are made on the date designated by the School for travel and on specified journeys by prior arrangement with the Boarding Administrator. It also includes, for girls in Year 9 and above, the option to remain in School at no extra charge during Exeat weekends.


The following items attract a charge and are invoiced in arrears:

  • Public examination fees
  • Individual and small group tuition, such as music, sports, drama, language or study skills
  • Residential trips, excursions, occasional specialist trips and social outings
  • Boarders’ disbursements
  • Sundry shop purchases, including stationery
  • Travel including taxi, rail and coach, other than that included for International Boarders

Discounts and Awards, Scholarships and Bursaries

  • A 2.5% continuity discount applies for girls transferring from the Junior School to the Senior School.
  • A 5% continuity discount applies for girls transferring from Year 11 to the Sixth Form
  • A 5% discount applies for a second sibling attending the School. Third and subsequent siblings receive a 10% discount. (These discounts apply only when siblings attend the School at the same time).
  • Daughters of serving HM Forces families are eligible to receive a discount of up to 20%.
  • The School offers a range of awards, scholarships and means-tested bursaries.
