We are experts in educating girls.
Our calm environment provides the space and time for girls to explore their unique interests and talents, free from limitations. We create moments of awe and wonder every day because we know that this is the best way to develop curiosity and set a strong foundation for a love of learning.
Our very small class sizes (that are usually between 10-14) ensure every pupil gets the focussed individual attention and support she needs to help her pick up the exciting new things she is learning. Most importantly, small class sizes ensure that children’s voices are really heard – whether that be hearing what they enjoy or find tricky or simply having the time to listen and engage in what is happening in their worlds.
Forest School is an important and greatly anticipated part of the week, as are the twice-weekly swimming lessons at our onsite pool. Sharing a campus with the Senior School means we have an abundance of opportunities at our fingertips: subject specialist teachers take sessions in music, PE, performing arts and ICT; the older girls become big sisters, joining us for lunch, listening to the girls read and playing during late stay. Our school dog, Dave, and our rabbit, Barnabus, make regular appearances in lessons and assemblies, and, whilst bringing much fun to our day, they also develop in the girls a sense of responsibility, companionship and calmness.
The school day starts at 8.30am and finishes at 3.30pm, but we know your day might be longer, so our wrap-around care allows for drop off at Breakfast Club from 7.30am and pick up from Late Stay at 5.45pm.
