Students at Badminton School are celebrating another year of exceptional A Level results today, with half of all grades awarded being an A* or A, and over a third of students securing straight A*-A grades.
Badminton's “Class of 2025” now prepare to embark on their Higher Education journeys at leading institutions across the UK and around the world, including The University of Oxford, The University of Cambridge, multiple Russell Group universities, and prestigious establishments in Hong Kong and America.
The vast majority of students’ Higher Education aspirations came to fruition today also, with over 90% of UCAS placements being at the students’ first choice university.
Many students have achieved the rare accomplishment of four A* grades, with Jess (going on to study Natural Sciences at Cambridge), Prudence (going on to study Engineering at Cambridge), Lizzie (going on to study Computer Science at Cambridge) and Kaitlyn (going on to study Dental Surgery at Liverpool) all achieving this outstanding feat today.
Head Girl Christina, who joined Badminton School 15 years ago when she was 3 years old, said: “I am very happy and relieved to have achieved the results I needed to study Medicine at Oxford next year. I am grateful for the wonderful experiences at Badminton including being part of the chamber choir, ‘Schola’, that means I can now go on to be a choral scholar at university.”
Prudence, another of Badminton’s Head Girls has said: “I am very excited to become a Cambridge Engineer in October! I'm grateful for the teaching and opportunities that I've had at Badminton, and I will carry the confidence I've gained here onwards to this new chapter in my life.”
Jessica Miles, Head, said: “This year’s A Level cohort have had their individual strengths and brilliance recognised with an outstanding set of results. I could not be prouder of the rich variety of university courses the students will be going on to read next year, ranging from Veterinary Science and Psychology, to Graphic Design, History, Fine Art, Fashion Marketing and Creative Writing amongst many others. I know that each and every one of the students would want to join me in thanking all the staff at Badminton who have supported, inspired and encouraged them during their time here.”
