Caretaker

The principal focus of the role is the cleaning and portering around school. The post holder will be expected to lift, carry, and transport goods around the site.

The school expects a high quality, courteous and friendly service for both internal and external customers. The post holder will be expected to be flexible working both independently and as part of a team. There is a need for close liaison with various team members to ensure tasks are completed for maximum efficiency.

A driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.

Hours: This is a full-time role, working 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. This includes a 30-minute unpaid dinner break and meals are provided. Normally working hours are Monday - Friday 11:00 – 20:00 (hour lunch/tea) or 11:30 – 20:00 if only 30 minutes required. We can be flexible on this time and could shift an hour either way.

Additionally, you will be required to work weekends. Saturday - Sunday hours are 08:00 – 17:00 with two days off in the week to compensate.

Salary: The salary will be: £11.75 per hour / £24,505.80 per annum. Pay award pending effective from April 2024.
