Liquid Nitrogen with Year 10 Science Outreach

Share
Senior School Outreach

On Monday Year 10 took part in presenting a show for Year 9 in which we worked with liquid nitrogen, some for the first time! With direction from Mr Williams, we were able to demonstrate and learn how to handle and present liquid nitrogen in a safe and engaging way, which not only fascinated Year 9 but also some of Year 10 who are new to Science Outreach, who were able to observe others doing experiments and then have a go themselves. Science Outreach not only allows us to learn and demonstrate experiments, but it also gives us the ability to present in a strong way, engage with others around us and gain a greater understanding of the science world we live in.

I believe I can speak on behalf of all of Year 10 to say that Mr Williams, alongside the help of Miss Healy provided us with a great opportunity on Monday as we were able to perform a fascinating show, which we could not have done without their help. I personally urge all of Year 9 next year to join Outreach, as not only do we gain knowledge which we can use in later life, but it is an amazing, exciting experience which everyone enjoys thoroughly.
